 До вчерашнего дня я не мог обсуждать эту тему, так как работал на Гугл. Вчера меня  уволили (разорвали контракт). Так что можно и поговорить.

 

У мужика (James Damore) явно промыты мозги от долгой работы в компании с идиотскими правилами. 

Вроде идея у него правильная, но много лишних слов. 

Я бы написал короче: при найме человека нельзя учитывать пол, рассу, ориентацию и так далее. Только личные профессиональные данные.

Are you sure that Google (Facebook, other social sites) doesn't try to brainwash users?

I am not sure, but my best guess is that they do NOT try to brainwash users on a meaningful scale.
They are businesses, that try to make money.
Does brainwashing help with making money?

Yes. For example, some users hate to see anything good about Trump.

Some of your clients will be happy, if you exclude from the search result all women (black, jew, indian...) Not by client request - it would be illegal for employer - but by your internal algorithm. Your client will be brainwashed -they would believe that no women programmers are looking for a job.

That strategy is called: "Give your clients what they ask for".
Calling it "brainwashing" is an exaggeration.

Not what client ask for, but what you believe is good for client.

In this scenario I would be just following my clients wishes. It would not be something that I force on my clients.
