Услышал по радио, что Netflix приветствует клиентов делиться паролем с родственниками и друзьями. Передали опровережение слухов, что за это сажают в тюрьму. Интересно, а как в других компаниях?
Мне как-то отключили русское ТВ за пользование разными IP одновременно...

Не сажают, но могут. Если гуманный суд квалифицирует это как "exceeding authorized access". Правда, надо насмотреть фильмов больше, чем на 5000 в год.

knowingly and with intent to defraud, accesses a protected computer without authorization, or exceeds authorized access, and by means of such conduct furthers the intended fraud and obtains anything of value, unless the object of the fraud and the thing obtained consists only of the use of the computer and the value of such use is not more than $5,000 in any 1-year period...

shall be punished as provided in subsection (c) of this section.

Subsction (c) грозит штрафом или лишением свободы до 5 лет.

workaround: на нетфликс ходить с разных компов только через VPN и только через один сервер. VPN провайдера выбрать заранее, который не возражает против нескольких подключений одновременно
