May. 23rd, 2016 04:06 pmПрошлой ночью, два офицера из нашей деревни задержали пьяного водителя. Посадили его на заднее сиденье патрульной машины, офицер сел за руль.
В этот момент какой-то автомобиль ударил сзади вторую патрульную машину. Она от удара прыгнула вперед и ударила автомобиль, где находились офицер и задержаный. Оба получили ранения и были доставлены в госпиталь.
Водитель автомобиля, который ударил полицейские машины, также оказался пьяным и был арестован. К счастью, травмы всех участвующих в этом инциденте были незначительными. Тем не менее, это могло бы закончиться гораздо хуже.
Если вы собираетесь пить, всегда имейте безопасный план как вернуться домой!

Last night, two of our officers were conducting a Driving Under the Influence (DUI) investigation on State Bridge Road near St. Georgen Commons. The driver was found to be DUI and was arrested. The driver was placed in the back seat of the patrol car, and the arresting officer was in the driver’s seat.
At that time, another vehicle driving on State Bridge Road struck the rear end of one of the patrol cars. The impact caused that police car to strike the second police car where the officer and DUI suspect were located. The officer and the DUI suspect were injured and were transported to Emory Johns Creek Hospital.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the police cars was also found to be driving under the influence and was arrested. Luckily, the injuries to everyone involved in this incident were minor. However, it could have been much worse.
There is a great documentary called End of Watch: The Kevin Will Story by Texas Pictures. It is about Houston Police Officer Kevin Will being struck and killed by a drunk driver as he investigated another accident on May 29, 2011.

If you are going to drink, always have a safe plan to get home. Use a taxi, car service, or have a designated driver.
